Asher Cano aka ryereuel (Los Angeles, California) is an interdisciplinary artist and designer whose work explores intimacy, interaction, and memory through sculpture, furniture, and participatory installation. He studied design and art direction in Los Angeles and has worked professionally in art preservation as a custom framer, supporting collectors, galleries and artists in the long-term care of visual work.

His practice moves between functional objects and conceptual experiences, using material, play and social ritual to foster connection. Recent projects include A Seat at the Table, an ongoing sculptural dinner series where guests eat directly on artworks; a set of modular incense holders distributed to 24 individuals across the U.S. - encouraging personal reflection and shared exchange; and interactive public installations presented as part of the City of Pasadena’s temporary public arts.

In addition to his solo practice, Asher collaborates with community organizations such as Level Ground, where he is currently producing programming that integrates social practice with performance, and has supported the organization’s artists-in-residence through curatorial and production roles.

His work invites viewers to engage not only with form and function but with each other—asking how we can transform everyday materials into lasting moments of care, connection, and presence.
